My goal is for you to look good, feel good, and have fun!
My group classes are conducted at Body X in Bryn Mawr. This beautiful fitness studio offers me a location which is conveniently central to the Main Line and offers ample parking. My fitness classes consist of circuit/bootcamp style training in group format and choreographed classes including cardio, strengthening and endurance exercises.
The best way to motivate yourself to push through that extra rep is by having the support of your fellow classmates to push you on. In a group exercise class, everyone is equal. Everyone in your class was a beginner at one time, so there's no need to be intimidated! Seeing the person next to you lifting heavier or moving faster will inspire you to push your limits!
One of the most valuable benefits of an exercise class is its trainer. In a group fitness class, you have the benefit of a professional showing you how to do each exercise with proper form. The trainer is there to help correct you to ensure you don’t injure yourself - something you can’t get from going to the gym and working out alone!
Being part of a Fitness Community can be hugely beneficial! You can find support and guidance from people who are of like mind and on the same journey as you. Whether you want to better your health and wellness or improve your strength and endurance, there will always be someone who will support you.
Doing the same moves over and over again is boring and mundane, and it can also hinder your results! Having variety with your workout is one of the best ways to prevent plateau, and group exercise classes allow you to switch things up. If you find one class you really love, it won’t feel stale!
For many people, the hardest part about working out is getting your butt to the gym! Most group exercise classes require that you book your spot in advance. This will make you remember your commitment (and your reasoning for booking) and will likely encourage you to stick to it!
