Not Your Average Personal Trainer!
I can't wait to get to know you! I'm not just a personal trainer - my background is in Physical Therapy. With this, I can formulate an exercise program with a focus on prevention of further injury or new injuries, and educate you about your body. Plus, I promise a fun time, even while you're feeling the burn!
Morning affirmations - telling myself "This is going to be a great day"! If you tell yourself positive things, you'll have a positive experience! It's about attracting good things with good vibes.
Coaching clients, teaching classes at BodyX, playing tennis, or at the beach paddle-boarding.
Negativity and giving up on things too fast.
Taking care of yourself first! That has to be a priority before taking care of anyone else.
I have always been an avid fitness fan. My journey with regular exercise began in college when I had to take a gym class called “Personal Fitness 101.” It was a great class teaching the basics of a healthy diet and adding exercise into your daily schedule. Eventually I ended up working in a gym where I became a personal trainer. My love for fitness eventually landed me in physical therapy for an injury. I decided I wanted to get into physical therapy and rehabilitate clients. I applied to the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Hahnemann University now Drexel University in Philadelphia. I graduated and eventually worked at several acute care, outpatient orthopedic and rehabilitation hospitals in Philadelphia and NYC where I lived for 18 years.
Eventually after moving back to the greater Philadelphia area and working in another outpatient facility and more recently, a skilled nursing facility, I decided to pivot and focus on prevention vs. rehabilitation. I’ve seen a lot of illness and disease conditions as well as orthopedic injuries from our lifestyles which are mostly sedentary. So I’ve decided to do something about it and started my own business. My goal is to change how you view fitness and your lifestyle. I want to squash the notion that you don’t have time or it’s too hard. I want to show you how to fit it into your daily routine like you do a shower and help you to view fitness as vital to your day and life as brushing your teeth. I work with a variety of people…men, women, children, teens, seniors as well as special needs populations. I believe EveryBODY should have access to correct information regarding health and fitness. I'm here to educate and motivate you. Most of all I want you to have fun and take control of your life and health. Remember, if you don’t take care of yourself first you won’t be able to take care of anyone else.
I thrive on helping my clients become the best version of themselves while pursuing an amazing quality of life. And I believe that working out can be fun!
